Hello Again

On Dec 20, 2024, we will host our final event. It will be a good bye holiday party where we hope to see as many of the friends we made as possible. This has been an amazing ride and a wild one at that. Starting from the vision Rae had in the car, to Disia working OT in her kitchen. Getting the shop at the colonial park mall and starting to meet so many of you that had started following us online. Rae signing us up for every event we could find and Disia baking everything and anything she could. Making new recipes to almost poison Rae till she got them right. Leaving the mall and taking a small hiatus before we ended up in our current spot. 

With us closing we feel a new sense of adventure coming on. We're not sure what we might do yet but we aren't going to disappear. Few of you know but Disia and Rae have made nothing from this venture. Everything made from the cafe went back into the cafe. Disia worked hundreds of hours and through hand crippling arthritis to make sure there was always something to eat. Rae worked 2 jobs in addition to the cafe to make sure the lights were on and the rent was paid. We know what your thinking, why? Cause they loved when people finally made it here, how happy they were. You guys had so much fun and enjoyed the food, team, etc. It was worth every bit of time pain and bit of energy we put in it for you.

We are going to miss the cafe. We'll miss being the only one in Harrisburg. We are going to miss putting on events. There is so much we are going to miss to be honest. And we know a lot of you have asked what could be done to save the cafe, honestly nothing. Which is why we didnt say anything. The culture just isnt strong enough in Harrisburg. And a few have asked why didnt we just leave and take it somewhere else? Why would we abandon our home that needs more things like this. We did our best and provided what we could for almost 5 years.

In the end we can only hope that our time together has been nothing short of amazing. Though we might not play another game or interact online again, we will hold those moments in our heart.  With not much time left to spend together, we will cherish every moment until the end. We made an amazing team together.
